12 STEPS TO A BETTER LIFESTYLE

1.Eat fruits for snacks. If you snack on junk food during the day, have some fruits by your side at all times. When you’re feeling hungry for a snack, eat a fruit.
2.Drink water instead of fizzy drinks. Try to cut out sugary drinks a bit at a time, replacing them with water.
3.Eat whole grain bread. If you eat white bread replace them with whole-grain versions. Be sure to look at the ingredients — it shouldn’t say enriched wheat flour, but whole grain.
4.Add fresh veggies to dinner. If you don’t already, have some steamed greens with dinner. Cut out a less healthy side dish if you usually eat something else.
5.Cut out down on red meat. Try to eat more white meat such as chicken or turkey, and fresh fish is great for your diet.
6.Eat less meat, dairy, sugar and processed foods; consume less coffee, alcohol and tobacco: By increasing your whole grains, vegetables and water you will naturally crowd out the more processed items.
7. Eat more leafy green vegetables: They are most essential for creating long-lasting health. More specifically they help eliminate depression, improve liver, gallbladder and kidney function.
8.Soymilk or Skimmed Milk instead of whole milk. Whole milk is fatty. Skimmed Milk is much better for you as it is low in fat. Soymilk is much healthier as an alternative to whole milk.
9.Whole grain cereal. If you eat sugary cereal, try a whole-grain cereal instead.
10.Exercise – 30 minutes of physical activity per day, either in the gym, brisk walking or jogging
11.Develop easy self-care habits: People get so wrapped up in their busy lives that they forget to take care of themselves. This can be something as simple as a relaxing bath and as nice as a day at a health spa.
12.Find work you love or a way to love the work you have: So many of us spend 8 hours a day in a job that is unfulfilling and end up stressed out which leads to a slew of health problems. Ask yourself if your job is aligned with your values.
